Functions and effects of Paecilomyces lilacinus:

1. Paecilomyces lilacinus is an endoparasitic fungus and a pathogen of plant nematodes. Under suitable conditions, it can parasitize nematode eggs, larvae, and adults. During metabolism, this fungus produces highly active substances that kill nematodes, which can directly act on nematodes to reduce the damage caused by various nematode such as root-knot nematodes, cyst nematodes, and stem nematodes in crops.

2. Paecilomyces lilacinus produces indole-3-acetic acid (IAA)-like compounds. Its most significant physiological effect is to promote the growth of plant roots and shoots at low concentrations. Therefore, applying the fungus to plant roots can not only significantly inhibit nematode infection but also promote the growth of vegetative organs of plants, while also enhancing the germination and growth of seeds.

3. Paecilomyces lilacinus generates various antibacterial metabolites, which have antagonistic effects against multiple plant pathogens such as Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. vasinfectum (causing cotton wilt), Rhizoctonia solani (causing rice sheath blight), and Fusarium solani (causing tomato root rot).

4. Paecilomyces lilacinus can promote the dissolution of insoluble phosphates, increasing the content of available phosphorus in soil. It also exhibits significant biodegradation activity against organophosphorus pesticides, reducing pesticide residues in soil.

Uses and dose:

1. Drip irrigation or soil application: 3-6kg/ha

2. For nursery growing media: 20-40 gram per sq meter, well mixed with soil, then sow the seeds.

Storage and Precautions: 

1. Store in a dry place below 20℃, with a shelf life of six months.

2. Do not mix with strong alkaline substances (e.g., lime) or chemical fungicides.

3. Mixing this product with chemical nematicides can enhance synergistic effects.

4. Apply immediately after mixing with other materials; avoid exposure to direct sunlight or long-term storage.
